Hockey India congratulated Lalremsiami, who made her debut for the Indian team in 2018. The youngster made an instant impact in the FIH Olympic Qualifiers where they edged the USA side to earn their ticket to 2020 Tokyo Olympics and was announced as the FIH Rising Star of the year 2019.

After a successful run in the Olympic qualifiers, Rupinder Pal Singh, India men's hockey team’s drag-flicker, on Thursday pitched for greater efforts in preparation for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. According to the drag-flicker, next year’s FIH Pro League will help India prepare for the Olympics.

The Indian Men's and Women's Hockey Teams will look to book their spots at the Tokyo 2020 when they take part in the FIH Hockey Olympic Qualifiers at the Kalinga Stadium. Indian Men's Hockey Team are scheduled to play Russia, while Women's team will face tough competition from in the two-legged tie.
