Pankaj Advani believes his performance improves when he ‘feels the butterflies in his stomach’ as it helps him stay sharp on the game ahead. After becoming the only player to complete a Career Grand Slam across formats, 34-year-old Advani believes he can still raise the bar in cue sports.

Pankaj Advani has become the only cueist to win the Asian and World Championships in all the formats as he bagged the Asian Snooker Championship title on Friday. The Indian got the better of Thanawat Tirapongpaiboon 6-3 in the final of the continental event which was held in Doha.

Pankaj Advani had to make a comeback after almost being the victim of an upset to ultimately win 5-4 against fellow Indian cueist Aditya Mehta and make it to the semi-final of the Asian Snooker Championship. Mehta was leading 4-3 before Advani won two consecutive frames to emerge victorious.

Ace Indian cueist Pankaj Advani has made it to the semi-finals of the ongoing Asian Billiards tournament in Chandigarh. Advani is the only Indian to stay alive in the competition as Dhruv Sitwala, Sourav Kothari and Dhvaj Haria all have lost in their respective quarter-final matches.

After losing the Billiards and Snooker Federation of India (BSFI) elections, cueists Pankaj Advani and Alok Kumar have complained about the violation of Sports Code during the polls. Both the players had contested for the vice-presidents’ posts but were unable to gather votes in their favour.
