Bangladesh Women ended a 16-match losing streak in the T20 World Cup event by beating Scotland at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium, Sharjah. A 42-run second-wicket partnership set up a score of 119 runs that was well defended with 15 runs to spare despite a fighting 49 from Sarah Bryce.

Australia whitewash Scotland 3-0 in their first-ever bilateral series by winning the last game with six wickets in hand. Cameron Green’s three-fer coupled with medium pacers' disciplined bowling curbed Brandon McMullen's fifty before the former lit up Edinburg with a 39-ball 62  to chase down 150.

Australia peppered Scotland by seven wickets and 62 balls in hand to go one-up in the three-match series. Following a disciplined Aussie bowling reducing the Scottish XI to 154, Travis Head’s dynamic 25-ball 80 coupled with Mitchell Marsh’s 12-ball 39 drubbed the home side convincingly.

No wonder one always tends to kick off their international beginning on a high. Australia’s Jake Fraser-McGurk bore a lot of anticipation among the fans ahead of his T20I debut but it turned out to be a nightmare as the youngster failed to flourish against Scotland in the first T20I in Edinburgh.
