Novak Djokovic doesn't consider himself to be a Wimbledon contender
Former world number one Novak Djokovic has revealed that he does not consider himself to be a contender for a Wimbledon Trophy ahead of the upcoming Grass Grand Slam. Djokovic reckoned that Swiss legend Roger Federer was the favorite in England followed by last season's finalist Marin Cilic.
Once regarded as one of the most lethal and technical players in the sport of tennis, 31-year old Novak Djokovic remains a shadow of his former-self as far as recent results are concerned. After an embarrassing French Open quarter-final defeat against Italian journeyman Marco Cecchinato earlier this month, Djokovic put up a spirited display against Croatian tennis ace Marin Cilic in the finals of the Queen’s Club Open yesterday.
Djokovic was within a touching distance of of his first title for a period of 12 months after he earned a match point in the second set of Sunday’s match against Cilic. But the former world number one lost his cool as he wasted that opportunity as Cilic went on to eventually win the match.

The three-time Wimbledon winner hasn’t won a major title since he completed his career Grand Slam when he won the 2016 French Open. However, Djokovic claimed his performance at Queen’s showed he is in a better place mentally and physically than he was before.
