The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) is gearing up to host its 93rd Annual General Meeting in Bengaluru on September 29. A key item on the agenda is the selection of a new secretary, as BCCI’s current Secretary Jay Shah is set to assume the role of ICC chairman starting December 1.

‌The 93rd Annual General Meeting of the BCCI is scheduled to be held at the Four Seasons Hotel in Bengaluru, with all state associations already notified. According to a report by Cricbuzz, a new secretary will likely be chosen during the meeting, as Jay Shah will assume his role as ICC chairman. However, to ensure a smooth transition, the BCCI may need to convene a Special General Meeting (SGM) to elect the new secretary before Shah steps into his new position.

The agenda will include 18 points which will be discussed throughout the meeting. The agenda will mostly be on the standard issues usually covered at the AGM, including selecting a representative for the ICC. This year's decision is particularly important, as Jay Shah will no longer be qualified to represent the BCCI. The board will now have to appoint someone knowledgeable and familiar with the inner workings of the BCCI and can successfully take over Shah.

Another key agenda item includes the inauguration of the new National Cricket Academy (NCA) campus, which will take place on the sidelines of the AGM, in the presence of representatives from member associations.
