Rio 2016 | Lalita Babar and Vikas Krishan to fly the Indian flag on Day 10
After nine days of disappointments, India’s hopes of a medal on Day 10 will depend on boxer Vikas Krishan who will be fighting his quarterfinal bout today. Also in action will be Lalita Babar, in the women’s 3000m steeplechase final, while Greco-Roman Wrestling will also start today.
Athletics will be the big event on Day 10 of the Rio Olympics
Wrestling action will also start in the Rio Olympics today, and India’s hopes will be on Ravinder Khatri in the men’s Greco-Roman 85kg category.
In badminton, PV Sindhu and Kidambi Srikanth will be in action in the Round of 16 and will face Chinese Taipei's Tai Tzu Ying and Denmark's Jan O Jorgensen.
The other event for India on the day will be the quarter-final bout of boxer Vikas Krishan. The 24-year-old will face 2015 World Amateur Boxing Championship silver medallist and Asian Championship gold medallist Bektemir Melikuziev in a bid to secure a medal in the Games.
