Pakistan will host the South Africa women's cricket team for a three-match T20I series at home this September. The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has confirmed the series, which is set to begin on September 16 with the first T20I match as the series will culminate in the Women’s T20 World Cup.

‌The Pakistan women's cricket team is set to host South Africa for a three-match T20 International (T20I) series, starting on September 16 at the Multan Cricket Stadium. This series will be vital preparation for both teams as they gear up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will be held in the UAE next month.

The Proteas Women are set to land in Multan on September 13, giving them a few days to adjust before the opening game. The PCB also mentioned that the squad selected for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024 will participate in the three-match series against South Africa.

This series will mark Fatima Sana’s first assignment as captain, though she has previously led Pakistan only twice in ODIs. It will be a significant challenge for her especially given Pakistan's struggles on the field in 2024. They were swept 3-0 by West Indies in a home ODI series and were then outplayed 4-1 in the subsequent five-match T20I series.

Pakistan Women’s squad vs South Africa: Fatima Sana (captain), Aliya Riaz, Diana Baig, Gull Feroza, Iram Javed, Muneeba Ali (wicket-keeper), Nashra Sandhu, Nida Dar, Omaima Sohail, Sadaf Shamas, Sadia Iqbal (subject to fitness), Sidra Amin, Syeda Aroob Shah, Tasmia Rubab and Tuba Hassan.
