Shubman Gill has not played any professional match in months, as he continues to enjoy his time with his family. Over the last few weeks, the Indian Test captain has been spending time with his family at his residence in Chak Khere Wala. This is also his hometown, as the Indian star went back to the place where he started.

He also posted pictures of his family time on his Instagram handle, which is winning hearts all over the internet. In the first photo, he was sitting together with his grandfather and father, two individuals who were crucial in shaping his career. He also posted a photo specifically with his grandfather, showing his love towards them.

, Gill was also spotted with his grandmother which also highlights the support system in his cricketing journey. Besides that, the Indian Test captain also posted solo photos, in his blue Gucci shirt. The post had captioned, “The Place of Inception,” meaning the place where his journey actually started.

Shubman Gill also visited his Village Academy, where he used to train himself to be a part of the Indian cricket team. He also spent some time with the young talents and met with his childhood coach. It was a great moment for the Indian skipper, as he continued to inspire the young stars.

Shubman Gill played his last professional game for Punjab on 22 January. Following this match, the Indian team went on to play the T20 World Cup 2026. And Shubman Gill went back home to enjoy some time with his family. However, he will now be returning to his duties within the next few weeks.

The IPL 2026 season is all set to commence from 28 March, and Shubman Gill will be returning to the field as a captain. Leading the Gujarat Titans, he will aim to secure his first-ever IPL title as a skipper. Even in the last edition, he was able to lead the team to the Eliminator stage.
