With BCCI publishing an endearing interview, Virat Kohli and India Head Coach Gautam Gambhir have finally put their differences behind them. The two Indian legends shared humorous camaraderie about their cricketing journeys filled with personal accomplishments, ups and downs in their career.

‌The much-awaited interview between Virat Kohli and Gautam Gambhir has finally been made available by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The interview is set against the backdrop of India's upcoming red-ball season, which starts tomorrow with a match between the Men in Blue and Bangladesh.

During the interview, Kohli discussed his early days and their joint playing experiences. "We have come a long way," the Indian hitter remarked. I joined the team after you guys had already made a name for yourselves. I played with them in that incredible changing room, through all of our highs and lows. "Did you ever intend to coach and think about this new role?" Kohli asked Gambhir.

Gambir instantly answered with heaps of praise for Kohli, saying, "I saw you making your debut and important knock in the Champions Trophy in South Africa on a tricky wicket." Gambhir also discussed Kohli's stunning 183 off 148 against Pakistan in the Asia Cup. He continued: "It's amazing how you have taken Indian Cricket forwards and the legacy that you have left for the next generation is incredible."

The 42-year-old went on to say that he never pictured himself coaching the Indian team. He stated, "I didn't believe I'd be coaching the Indian team until last month, but it's an amazing pleasure to represent your country again. It's nice to be back in the dressing room, where I have many memories. The Indian coach praised Kohli's test captaincy and stated, "You built a great fast-bowling team. I assume you were 24-25 when you took on the Test captaincy; credit must go to you for the manner you formed the team at the time. "Your attitude, winning overseas tests."

Regarding Jasprit Bumrah and Mohammed Siraj, Kohli stated, "Bumrah has to be the complete all-format bowler. When you bring in the value of a cricketer, you cannot place that value separating in the other two formats. If you want to be valued as a cricketer, it will always come with the other longer formats as well. The same goes with Siraj, his USP is that he wants to play Test Cricket and he is hungry to take wickets.”

Later in the conversation, Gambhir recounted his exploits at Napier, where he demonstrated ultimate coolness and resolve.. He said, “ When I scored 137 at Napier, VVS Laxman came up to me and said that I hadn't spoken a word for two hours. Then I realised that for those two days, i was completely focused and I have never been in that zone in my entire life. Until and unless you have not experienced this sort of feeling, you will never be able to understand what it is to be in that situation.”

Towards the end of the interview, the duo spoke about the upcoming test match and the Champions Trophy. Kohli said, “ With 10 Test matches, Champions Trophy coming up - it will be exciting, lots of memories to create & hopefully lots of success for us as a team.”

However, the video finished with a lot of laughs when Gambhir stated that his next guest will be Rohit and asked Kohli what questions he should ask first. Kohli had a hilarious response, asking Gambhir to ask Rohit if he eats soaked almonds in the morning to help him remember things better.
