There is swing, and then there is wild uninhibited movement through the air that is nearly impossible to judge, let alone playing it. Khurram Shahzad certainly generated some of the latter on the third day of the second Test against Bangladesh as he dismantled the stumps of a shocked Shadman Islam.

Pakistan retook control of the second Test against Bangladesh on Sunday wtih six wickets in the opening session after being bowled out for an unimpressive 274 on Day 2 of the encounter. Khurram Shahzad was majorly responsible for reducing the visitors to 75/6 with brilliant figures of 4/15 from his seven overs which included the scalps of the entire top three as well as the prized wicket of Shakib Al Hasan. The young pacer was able to produce unreal swing with the shiny new red cherry and delivered some absolute peaches to aid his cause, none more impressive than the one hebowled to send Shadman Islam back to the pavilion.

Khurram provided Paksitan the first breakthrough with the last ball of the sixth over and took the leather rock in hand with renewed confidence to begin the eighth. The right-arm quick steamed in from around the stumps to southpaw Shadman Islam who stepped across early upon delivery to try and create some room on the leg side. The plan seemed to be appropriate given Khurram's effort landed just outside off stump on a length. However, as the opener shaped for a glance off his legs, the ball swung viciously to deceive Shadman and rattle into the leg stump past the attempted shot. Shadman could not believe what had just transpired as he stared back at his shattered stumps in utter dismay while Khurram wheeled around in ecstacy.

The Pakistani quick also ended up uprooting skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto's middle stump three deliveries later and then capped off a perfect spell with Shakib's wicket.
