Weston McKennie scored a stunning goal to give Juventus the lead in their 2-1 Champions League win over PSV Eindhoven. The American midfielder struck in the 34th minute, marking his fifth goal of the season. Despite Ivan Perisic equalizer, Juventus secured victory through Samuel Mbangula late goal. They now prepare for the second leg on February 19.

Weston McKennie played a crucial role in Juventus' 2-1 win over PSV Eindhoven in the first leg of their Champions League tie. The USMNT midfielder opened the scoring in the 34th minute with a powerful strike from the edge of the box, marking his fifth goal of the season and third in the Champions League.

PSV equalized early in the second half through veteran Ivan Perisic, but Juventus regained the lead late in the match thanks to Samuel Mbangula’s goal, securing a home victory. McKennie, who has been a versatile player under coach Thiago Motta, started in an attacking midfield role alongside Douglas Luiz and Manuel Locatelli. He played 68 minutes, creating three chances in addition to his goal.

The match featured three American players, with Tim Weah starting at right-back for Juventus and Richy Ledezma playing the same position for PSV. However, PSV were without injured US internationals Ricardo Pepi, Sergino Dest, and Malik Tillman.
