Raheem Sterling form at Arsenal has been disappointing since his loan move from Chelsea. In 15 appearances, mostly as a substitute, he has scored only one goal and failed to fill in for the injured Bukayo Saka. At 30, his decline raises questions about his future at top clubs, with slim chances of silverware this season and uncertainty regarding his contract.

In the latest UEFA Champions League group-stage match, Arsenal secured a 2-1 victory over Girona, comfortably advancing to the Round of 16. However, the spotlight was not on their qualification but on Raheem Sterling’s struggles. The 30-year-old forward, on loan from Chelsea, missed a crucial penalty and has failed to make a significant impact since joining Arsenal.

Sterling has played 15 matches this season, mostly as a substitute, managing just one goal. With Bukayo Saka sidelined due to injury, he had the opportunity to prove his worth but has fallen short, forcing Mikel Arteta to experiment with other attacking options like Gabriel Martinelli.

Once a key player for Manchester City, Liverpool, and Chelsea, Sterling has seen a steep decline in form. His struggles have also impacted his international career, with the winger falling out of favor in the England squad after 82 caps.

With Arsenal trailing league leaders Liverpool by nine points and already out of domestic cup competitions, Sterling’s chances of winning silverware this season seem slim. As his Chelsea contract runs until 2026, his future at a top club remains uncertain, with Arsenal unlikely to extend his stay beyond this season.
