Few individuals are not just entertainers on the field but also inspire a generation with their skillset and work ethics. Shane Warne is a no-brainer in this particular list and Indian wicketkeeper-batter Ishan Kishan surprisingly followed in his footsteps on the fifth day of the ensuing Irani Cup.

With plenty at stake on the final day of the prestigious tournament, Sarfaraz Khan and Tanush Kotian resumed proceedings in the morning session. However, the former did not quite last long with Saranash Jain claiming a five-wicket hail by drawing him for an lbw. Shardul Thakur followed suit after ten balls before Kotian steered the innings to 260/8 in Mohit Avasthi’s resilience. As the ninth-wicket stand grew strong, the Rest of India summoned the services of Kishan with the ball for a change.

With an over to go for Lunch, the Jharkhand wicketkeeper was seen with the ball. He was seen repeatedly tossing up the ball with plenty of revolutions before bowling the first ball of the over from around the wicket. The first one, pitched outside the leg stump turned sharply outward to thud the pad of Avasthi before he defended the next one aiming for the woods. With a couple of singles to follow, Kishan earned a dot before a length ball was slammed hard towards the square of the wicket on the off side for a four. Although Kishan is not a regular bowler, his initial run-up allowed the Twitterverse draw labels from the great Shane Warne.
