IPL 2022, LSG vs RR | Twitter reacts as Rajasthan Royals’ players jumping in joy after KL Rahul wicket

KL Rahul has been arguably the most consistent batsman in the Indian Premier League in the last five years, but the LSG skipper fell after scoring 10 off 19 balls against RR on Sunday. RR players leapt in joy after his wicket, as they knew how crucial it was for getting a place in the Playoffs.

Rajasthan Royals (RR) got a decent start against Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) on Sunday after coming to defend 178 at Brabourne Stadium, Mumbai. They got Quinton de Kock early in the third over and then dismissed KL Rahul inside Powerplay as well. Ayush Badoni, who was promoted at No. 3, fell for a first ball duck, as LSG were left reeling at 34/3 at the end of six overs.

Among three wickets, RR's most precious wicket was Rahul's. The LSG skipper struggled to get going, scoring just 10 off 19 balls before he fell to Prasidh Krishna in the sixth over. Rahul hit a six earlier in the over, and tried to play off the front foot towards off side. However, it went straight to Yashasvi Jaiswal at point. Following the dismissal, RR players celebrated the wicket very much and rightly so, as they knew what Rahul could have done to shatter their Playoffs hopes had he stayed there for a while.

And gone!
