Whadaa player!!
Rory Burns 53* (28y-341d) is the youngest English opener to score a fifty in an Test match, since Alastair Cook's 65 at Brisbane in November 2013, then aged 28y-334d.

It's all Roaring Rury show!!
England at a totally comfortable position. Australia need a shower of wickets to make a comeback in this game

Look's like everything is on England's side now!!
I tend to wait till the Test is finished before commenting on such things.

Hope England's made it!!
England played very high quality limited overs cricket to win a World Cup. Now they are playing quality test cricket to inch ahead in the Ashes. Need another 150-175 though since they have to bat last on a track that is keeping a bit low occasionally.

If Ashes is a script, then Rory Burns is a fine character in it!!
Steve Waugh has just said Rory Burns showed a lot of character.

As far as endorsements go...
Special century for Burns!
Well played Burns! Maiden ton must be a sweet feeling and if it comes in the , even better! He looks a serious Test special👏
— R P Singh रुद्र प्रताप सिंह (@rpsingh)
He made it look easy!!
Fine century by Burns. Technically unorthodox, but has all other virtues which make for a Test batsman. He’s keeping England ahead so far, but though Aus don’t lead by much now, pretty much in the game. Couple of quick wickets, and match opens up

Yet to watch the remaining show!!
Well played Rory Burns. Proper Test century. 👏
