Kapil Dev's wax figurine will grace the halls of the Madame Tussauds museum along with Bollywood superstar Amitabh Bachan, Hollywood action sensation Jackie Chan, pop icon Lady Gaga and over 50 other statues of celebrated personalities.
Kapil Dev unveiled his first ever wax-statue after an audio clip from 83' World Cup was played and was overjoyed at what he saw. The museum was enthralled to showcase the legend's statue and took to twitter to express their joy.

Arguably the greatest ever Indian all-rounder to have graced the cricket field, Dev holds the record of taking over 400 wickets and scoring more than 5,000 runs in Test cricket and was inducted into the ICC hall of fame in March 2010. The statue is just an addition to his long list of achievements.
On the occasion, the former Indian captain shared his account of the creation of the wax statue and also added that there are so many current cricketers, who are more talented than himself.
"I had to take off my clothes -- didn't have to strip totally but it was weird. It's a new thought. I was more educated about how this is done," he observed, reported NDTV.
"(It is) impossible to have another Kapil Dev. But there will be better Kapils, 100s more. (Ravichandran) Ashwin is an all-rounder. (Ravindra) Jadeja and (MS) Dhoni too are fab all-rounders. Anyone with more than one skill is a good all-rounder. I wish a fast bowler and batsman come out but this Indian team has enough players," he added.
