In today’s time, cricket is the most popular sports in India. Widespread media coverage and tournaments like IPL made male cricketers very famous among the kids in the country. But in comparison to them, women’s cricketers didn’t get that much attention but played their role quietly. The recently concluded ICC Women’s World Cup helped change the perception surrounding the women’s cricket in India.
Lately, one instance of social media proved the very fact as a little girl picked Mithali Raj for her assignment to be dressed like a national leader. Her father posted that on Twitter.
Dress up as any national leader for school event. Our very own Captain of Indian cricket team to inspire my daughter..

The Indian skipper also felt proud when she saw ‘liitle’ Mithali Raj as she wished her best of luck for the little girl's future endaevours.
This is cute! 😀
— Mithali Raj (@M_Raj03)
May she achieve her endeavours in all the spheres of life!
The Indian side crumbled under pressure against England in the final at Lord's, after being in a commanding position in the match, to miss out on a chance to lift their maiden title. However, the 34-year old Raj left an everlasting impact on the World Cup scoring 409 runs in the tournament ending up second on the list of highest run-getters.
