Diego Schwartzman has produced one of the best shots of the year against John Isner with an incredible behind-the-back shot in the second set which left his opponent completely distraught. Unfortunately, Isner recovered in the final set and sealed the match with a score of 7-6 (2), 6-7 (11), 6-3.

Schwartzman faced ninth-seeded American Isner in the round of 32 of the ATP Paris Masters tournament and after losing the first set in the tie-breaker, he was able to keep Isner at bay in the second.

The incident occurred during the rally in the 12th game of the second set when the Argentine was leading the American 6-5. Isner's serve was right down the middle but Schwartzman had taken a step to his right and his return was a mediocre one. Isner's volley, that followed the service return, was hardly a winner but even the American could not have imagined what was coming his way. Schwartzman quickly made up the ground to his right but ended up slightly ahead of the ball so he threw his racquet behind his back to sent a passing shot past Isner for a winner. Seeing the ball go past him, Isner just dropped his shoulders and walked back to the service line while Schwarztman just stood there to take a minute to realize what he had been able to pull off.
