ISSF World Cup Changwon | Shahu Tushar Mane and Mehuli Ghosh win mixed team 10m air rifle gold

Shahu Tushar Mane and Mehuli Ghosh of India won the 10m air rifle mixed team gold at the ISSF World Cup Rifle/Pistol/Shotgun stage in Changwon, Korea. In the final, the duo faced the Hungarian team of Eszter Meszaros and Istvan Peni and registered a 17-13 win to clinch the yellow metal.

Meanwhile, the pair of Shiva Narwal and Palak added one more medal, after winning a bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol mixed team event. The Indian pair won against the Kazakh duo of  Irina  Loktionova and Valeriy Rakhimzhan 16-0. With this, the Indian team has now moved on to the second position in the medals tally, with two gold and one bronze. 

The duo of Mehuli and Tushar had also topped the qualification stages, after scoring 634.4 from 60 shots. Other pairs in the fray, Naveen and Rhythm Sangwan in the 10m Air Pistol Mixed Team and Arjun Babuta and Elavenil Valarivan, in the rifle competition, finished outside the medals.

Arjun and Elavenil shot 627.8 for their eighth-place. Naveen and Rhythm finished on a total of 570. Prior to this, the Indians had missed a total of five medals, when none of the qualifiers in Men’s and Women’s 10m Air Pistol as well as in the Men’s Trap could advance to the medal rounds. 

Currently, Serbia is on top of the table with three golds.
