Shooting | Manu Bhaker wins both junior and senior 10m air pistol events at National Trials

Manu Bhaker has managed to bag both the junior and women’s category gold medals of the 10 meters air pistol events at the national selection trials being held in Delhi. A few days ago, Bhaker also got top positions in the women’s 25m pistol events in both the women’s and junior sections.

Haryana youngster Manu Bhaker has bagged the gold medal of both women’s and junior category 10m air pistol event. She has managed the feat at the ongoing national selection trials being held in Delhi. The 2018 Commonwealth Games gold medallist managed to score 242.1 points and beat the 13-year-old teen sensation Esha Singh, who shot 240.4, and Anuradha (219.3). Bhaker had ended the qualification rounds at the second position with a total score of 579.

On the other Hand, Heena Sindhu who had recently equalled the World Record for the women’s 10m pistol qualification event finished at the fourth position with a total of 197.3 points in the final event. In the youth 10m pistol event Saumya Dhyani shot 241.4 and finished at the top position, while Vibhuti Bhatia (237.6) and Yashsavi Joshi (215.3 ) finished at second and third positions respectively.

On the other hand In the junior finals too, the 16-year-old Bhaker remained at the top scoring 244.5. Esha finished second with 244, whereas Yashsavi Joshi at third position scoring 215.3 at the Dr Karni Singh Shooting Range in Delhi.
