South Korea sprung back to the top spot of group A extending their winning run to three in the 2016 Kabaddi World Cup with a win over Bangladesh in a close encounter in Ahmedabad. In Group B, Thailand's convincing win over Kenya has put the Asians in contention for a semifinal spot.

Group A

South Korea ran out winners in the first game of the day by beating Bangladesh by a score of 35-32. Bangladesh found themselves leading the game 30-26 with just three minutes to go thanks to Captain Aruduzzaman Munshi and Ziaur Rahman who scored 15 of the 32 that the sub-continent team scored. But the scoreline was a cue for Jang Kun Lee to show his opponents what he was capable of doing.

Jang Kun Lee stole the show again with his best performance of the tournament so far with four successful raids in a row - a run that yielded eight points, to secure a hat-trick of wins for his side.

Jang Kun Lee has now completed two Super 10s in the tournament so far, the first coming in a surprise win over India, before he scored the magnificent 14 points in the Bangladesh game. Out of the 14 points, 12 came as a result of Lee's offensive abilities, while the Korean proved his all-round game by earning a couple of points in his own half as well.

In the Group B game, Thailand outscored Kenya 53-21 to cement their third place. Skipper Khomsan Thongkham and Khunakon Chanjaroen both completed Super 10's as the Asian team boosted their chances of reaching the knockouts.

Thailand inflicted an incredible 8 all-outs on the African side, who have captured the imagination of the Kabaddi World, and never gave the Kenyans any chance of coming back into the game.

Korea will play the Aussies in their next game while Kenya will play Japan, a game that could end up deciding the last semi-final spot.
