For the 2025 winter transfer window, Barcelona is reportedly close to finalizing the sale of Vitor Roque to Palmeiras, boosting their financial position. Roque, who joined Barcelona in January 2024 from Athletico Paranaense after scoring 28 goals and providing 11 assists in 81 appearances, struggled to impress during his initial months. As a result, he was loaned to Real Betis for the 2024-25 season.
At Betis, Roque has made 33 appearances across all competitions, contributing seven goals and two assists. However, only two of those goals came against lower-league sides in the Copa del Rey. Palmeiras is now pushing to sign the Brazilian forward for €25 million (£20.73 million) before Friday's transfer deadline.
Despite Barcelona's willingness to sell, Betis holds some control over the situation. The club, currently seventh in La Liga with 35 points from 25 matches, is also in the Conference League last 16.
