Gareth Bale’s agent has revealed that the Real Madrid star will depart the Spanish club this summer and make a likely move to the Premier League although his future will hinge on Wales’  World Cup Qualifier. The Welsh attacker is set to leave Madrid upon the expiry of his deal in the summer.

Gareth Bale signed for Real Madrid from Tottenham in the summer of 2013 and has since made a significant impact for the Los Blancos since his arrival as he scored 106 goals and registered 67 assists in 258 appearances across all competitions.

The Welshman has been an important player for the Spanish side throughout the years as he has helped the team claim two La Liga titles, one Copa del Rey Cup, four FIFA Club World Cups, and four Champions League titles across the nine years he has spent at the club.

The 32-year-old has not enjoyed the best of spells with the Madrid club in recent years as the former Spurs man has invited the ire of the Madrid faithful for his lacklustre performances and continued unavailability. The Welsh winger will depart the Santiago Bernabeu this season at the end of the season with the expiry of his current deal in the summer.

Bale spent last campaign in the books of former club Tottenham on a loan spell but returned to the Spanish capital ahead of the current campaign. The Welshman has only featured five times for Madrid this season and will leave the club in the summer. Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett has admitted that the attacker is likely to make a move back to the Premier League in the future.

"He will leave Real Madrid, but we have to wait for what Wales will be able to do [in their Qatar 2022 qualifiers]. It all depends on whether Wales qualify for the World Cup, then we will make a decision, which may vary whether or not Wales go to the World Cup. Is it more likely to return to England? I think so, but we'll have to wait and see if Wales qualifies,” Barnett told the Record.
