Reports | AC Milan have another bid rejected for Angel Correa
AC Milan have seen a complicated two-year loan bid for Atletico Madrid star Angel Correa rejected, with the Los Rojiblancos not happy with the offer. The Argentine forward has been heavily linked with a move away from the Wanda Metropolitano this summer but any move has yet to materialize.
AC Milan have had yet another bid rejected for Atletico Madrid star Angel Correa, with Football Italia reporting the same. The two sides did have an agreement in place, with the Argentine set to make the shift before the European window slams shut, with a two-year loan deal for the forward.
Italian reporter Di Marzio further states that the offer was a two-year loan deal at €5 million a year, plus an option to buy at €25 million if Correa meets certain performance obligations. But that agreement has now disintegrated, with reports adding that the La Liga giants want a cash move now, and not the loan move that Milan were hoping for.
It seems that Atleti are hoping to make a move for Valencia star Rodrigo before the window shuts and thus want a deal that will offer them a transfer fee for the Argentine. The 23-year-old had become a crucial part of Atleti’s front-line since joining the club in 2015, making close to 180 appearances under Diego Simeone.
