Time waits for nobody, and with less than six days left for the Premier League’s transfer window to slam shut, the drama has skyrocketed. The other four leagues are still enjoying a good walk in the part, but with less than a month left, it’s time to start panicking and dig into a few juicy sagas.

Toby Alderweireld agrees personal terms with AS Roma

After a century of will he, won’t he, it seems that he will indeed leave for AS Roma. We’re talking about Tottenham star Toby Alderweireld and his saga with AS Roma. The Serie A giants have been looking for a replacement for their Greek God this summer and given the Belgian’s release clause, he makes a perfect target.

But with that clause now expired, it seems that Roma are still interested and Calciomercato has reported that Alderweireld will sign a €3.5 million a year contract with the Giallorossi. That comes with a three year contract to boot, but only if Roma and Tottenham come to an agreement over a deal.

Paulo Dybala rejects a move to Manchester United

It may be over before it even started, with reports from Italy revealing that Paulo Dybala has rejected a move to Old Trafford. It seems that not even the glory of challenging for the Europa League was enough to lure La Joya, and that effectively keeps Romelu Lukaku at the club.

However, reports could be wrong as Dybala has been given till the 5 of August to decide whether or not he wants to stay or go.

Donny Van de Beek set to sign for Real Madrid

Paul Pogba may be worth €150 million but Donny Van De Beek is worth only €60 million. So naturally having spent in excess of €300 million, Real Madrid might just switch over the cheaper option. Of course, he’ll run more, create as much and harass teams more for a price half of what Pogba costs, so it does mean that the move makes a little more sense.

But then again, given the French connection between Zinedine Zidane and Pogba, Van de Beek could find himself dropped for a statement of intent.

Manchester City slap a massive fee on Leroy Sane

Bayern Munich wants Leroy Sane, Manchester City want to keep Leroy Sane and nobody but Leroy Sane knows what he wants. However, if they are to lose the German, Manchester City want nothing less than a record fee and have slapped a £137 million valuation on the forward.

A sensational profit if Bayern Munich does match that fee, with the Bavarian giants tabling a £73 million fee for the 24-year-old. However, reports have revealed that no bid has come in from Germany, leaving us to ask, who is telling the truth here?

Tottenham and Atletico Madrid still baulking at Matthias Ginter’s fee

Both Tottenham and Atletico Madrid are looking for new defenders but they don’t seem to be willing to pay the €60 million fee that Borussia Monchengladbach are asking for. Both sides are keen on a move for defender Matthias Ginter but value the 25-year-old at around €35 million.

However, given the incredibly inflated transfer window, Monchengladbach have decided to take advantage of their luck and slap an obscene valuation on the German. A valuation that has scared away all his suitors, which makes it either a very smart or a very stupid move.
