There's nothing more gratifying for a fielder than dismissing a well-set batter and altering the game's trajectory. This moment unfolded on the final day of the Duleep Trophy match between India A and India D, where Ricky Bhui's impressive knock was interrupted by a splendid catch from Riyan Parag.

‌Ricky Bhui and Yash Dubey started cautiously in India D's chase, building a 100-run partnership and reaching 95/1 in 29 overs. India A then broke the partnership with Dubey's run-out in the 30th over and Devdutt Padikkal's dismissal by Shams Mulani in the 32nd over. Despite a strong 53-run stand between Bhui and Shreyas Iyer, India D lost momentum with Iyer's departure and Bhui's eventual wicket in the 47th over. Post-lunch, Bhui and Sanju Samson continued to push the score, but Samson fell short of a half-century, and India D fell short of their target, with Bhui scoring a valiant 113 before being dismissed, courtesy of a great catch by Riyan Parag.

On the fifth ball of the 72nd over, Tanush Kotian delivered a fuller ball pitched outside the off stump. Bhui, judging the line well, pressed forward to defend but was caught off guard by the sharp turn, resulting in a thick outside edge. The ball sped towards the first slip where Riyan Parag was stationed. The Assam star leaned forward and took a brilliant low catch with both hands. The TV Umpire reviewed the catch and confirmed it was fair, leading to Bhui’s dismissal after he scored 113 off 195 deliveries. Bhui was met with a standing ovation from the home crowd, sending Twitter into a frenzy.
