Kamran Ghulam to debut, Noman Ali and Sajid Khan included in Pakistan's XI for England Test
The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has revealed their playing XI for the second Test against England at Multan, with a notable change being Kamran Ghulam's inclusion. He replaces Babar Azam, who is absent from the squad, along with Shaheen Shah Afridi and Naseem Shah and Abrar Ahmed.
Saim Ayub, despite a disappointing performance in the first Test, retains his place as an opener alongside Abdullah Shafique, who scored a brilliant century in the first innings. Skipper Shan Masood, who played a superb knock of 151 in the first Test, will bat at No.3 and aims to secure his first win as captain.
The second Test will be played at the Multan Cricket Stadium, the same venue as the first match, while the final Test of the series will begin on October 24 at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan’s playing XI against England: Shan Masood (c), Saim Ayub, Abdullah Shafique, Kamran Ghulam, Saud Shakeel, Mohammad Rizwan (wk), Salman Ali Agha, Aamir Jamal, Noman Ali, Sajid Khan, Zahid Mehmood.
