IND vs BAN | Jaiswal blitz coupled with bowling mastery demolish Bangladesh as India perfect clean sweep
Despite two days being washed out, India beat Bangladesh by seven wickets in Kanpur. The Indian batting was led by Yashasvi Jaiswal and KL Rahul’s half-ton helped the team reach 285 whereas Bangladesh struggled with their batting as India chased down a modest target of just 95 runs with ease.
After an electrifying Day 4, the final day of the India-Bangladesh Test match began with overnight batters Shadman Islam and Mominul Haque at the crease. However, Bangladesh’s troubles deepened when Ravichandran Ashwin removed Haque in the 14th over. What followed was a batting collapse, as Najmul Hossain Shanto, Shadman Islam, Litton Das, and Shakib Al Hasan fell in quick succession. Ravindra Jadeja's introduction turned the tide further as he claimed critical wickets. With Bangladesh rapidly losing ground, including the dismissals of Mehidy Hasan Miraz and Taijul Islam, India extended the lunch break, needing just one wicket to wrap up the innings. At 140/9, India's eagerness to close out the match was evident, and Jasprit Bumrah finally delivered the breakthrough by dismissing Mushfiqur Rahim, bowling Bangladesh out for 146 and leaving India a modest 95 runs to chase. In their reply, India got off to a shaky start as Mehidy Hasan Miraz removed the Indian skipper in the third over. Despite this early setback, Yashasvi Jaiswal played aggressively, though Shubman Gill departed cheaply in the fifth over. Virat Kohli and Jaiswal then steadied the ship, bringing India to 66/2, just 34 runs shy of victory. Jaiswal brought up a quick half-century off 43 balls, pushing India closer to the win. However, his attempt to finish in style ended in disappointment as he mistimed a shot trying to hit the winning boundary. The final moment came when Rishabh Pant struck the winning runs, sealing a seven-wicket victory for India, who remain at the top of the World Test Championship table.

What a win, lost more than 2 days due to rain, but India came out with both positive and aggressive approach, won a match from nowhere. Deserved to be the table topper.
