SA vs SL | Twitter lauds Jansen embarrassing Chandimal’s 'hold the pose' attempt with unplayable delivery
It’s not an out-of-fashion trend in cricket for a batter to hold the pose while attempting a particular stroke or even a solid defense. As Dinesh Chandimal attempted the latter, he ended up being a piece of embarrassment, courtesy of Marco Jansen’s jaffa in the second session on day 2.
Resuming after a rain-interrupted opening day, Temba Bavuma was the master in craft that withstood the Sri Lankan heat at Kingsmead on the second day. His 117-ball 70 helped South Africa propel to 191 runs in the first innings before the South African bowlers showcased their caliber with the red cherry. After Rabada got the first breakthrough Jansen was fiery with the new ball as Lankan veteran Chandimal was stunned by his astounding delivery.
After leaving the first three balls that he faced, Chandimal attempted a front-foot defence on the second ball of the sixth over. However, Jansen’s good length delivery, jagged in sharply after pitching near the off stump and beating the inside edge to flatten the off stick. Chandimal did hold his pose for a while but only in remorse as left the field with a duck. The fact that the visitors’ veteran didn’t even get to connect with the bat for once became a matter of embarrasment as the Twitterverse summoned.

Juju
What is this juju from Jansen lol. Overstepping early in the over and picking a wicket immediately after that. Thrice in as many overs now.

Outstanding
Marco Jansen has 3 wickets in his first 4 overs but he hasn't bowled outstandingly. The 3 wickets have been accompanied by 3 no-balls

Just can't
Marco Jansen has taken 3 wickets, and all 3 have come soon after a no ball.
