The situation escalated in the 43rd over when Starc bowled a fuller delivery aimed at the leg stump, striking Jaiswal’s pads. Starc appealed passionately, pointing at the umpire, but the decision was turned down. When Starc asked Jaiswal about the LBW, the batter calmly explained it was going down the leg.
