‌Should protective gear be used for the audience watching cricket matches? While this seems to be a pretty wayward idea, Samson’s merciless ball-striking in Joburg might have just raised further questions on the audience’s safety as a lady in the crowd incurred a grave thud resulting in injury.

Winning the first toss of the four-match T20I series, Suryakumar Yadav opted to bat first in Johannesburg. The opening pair of Sanju Samson and Abhishek Sharma were fed off with looseners inside the powerplay as they smoked them too all parts of the ground at the start. The white cherry swiftly thudded onto her jaw, and soon after, she was seen weeping while applying an ice pack to her left jaw. Subsequently, Samson felt for the lady, and the Twitterverse joined in as well.
