A brilliant run-out can change the course of a game faster than anything else. Such was the scene at the Chennai Super Kings vs Gujarat Titans in the Ahmedabad match where David Miller’s great acrobatic fielding effort led to a great run-out sending Rachin Ravindra back to the pavilion.

‌The home team dominated with the bat as Shubman Gill and Sai Sudharsan forged an impressive 210-run partnership. Both players showcased their best form achieving centuries in just 50 deliveries each. Their formidable batting propelled the Gujarat Titans to a commanding total of 231/2 in 20 overs. However, the Chennai Super Kings encountered early setbacks in their pursuit of the huge target with Miller's incredible fielding drawing first blood.

Opening the innings for CSK, Rachin Ravindra and Ajinkya Rahane struggled to find runs in the initial over. Concerns heightened for the visitors when on the final ball of the first over, Umesh Yadav delivered a length ball to Rahane who attempted a quick single towards backward point. Rachin responded swiftly to Rahane's call for a single, but Miller, fielding at backward point, reacted brilliantly. Diving forward, he executed an underarm throw, and hit the stumps with quick precision with a direct hit. The Gujarat side erupted in celebration as the on-field umpire referred the decision to the TV umpire. It became evident that Rachin fell short of the crease by mere centimetres, leading to his dismissal.

Miller's exceptional effort received widespread acclaim on social media platforms with the Twitterverse commending his fielding prowess.
