Mistakes are common in the sporting realm but blunders can have their own consequences. Such was the scene between Zimbabwe and Bangladesh when the visitors produced hilarious fielding botches as Mustafizur Rahman survived a double run-out in a single delivery in the fourth T20I in Dhaka.

Winning the toss and opting to field first, Zimbabwen failed to get a quick breakthrough as Tanzid Hasan and Soumya Sarkar attacked the new ball early in the game, scoring 57 runs inside the powerplay. However, Luke Jongwe and Brian Bennett’s impressive spells pulled the ball into the visitors’ court to reduce them to 143 runs. But an incident that drew plenty of eyeballs occurred during the last over with the Zimbabwe fielders producing a horrific fielding effort.

On the second ball of the 20th over, Blessing Muzarabani bowled a good length delivery outside the stumps that Tanvir Islam dabbed towards the right of the bowler. The bowler charged up to deny a single and made a shy despite the Bangladeshi duo risking a run.

There was a backup at the deep region who made a throw towards the bowler's end as the pair were looking to steal an overthrow run. While Mustafizur was miles e apart from making ground, Jonathan Campbell first fumblelled to grab the incoming kookaburra and then made an underarm throw that missed the stumps completely. In the meantime, Mustafizur entered the crease and completed the double but the hilarious fielding effort left the Twitterverse in splits.
