The 2024 T20 World Cup lacked interest among major cricket fans until India and Pakistan participated in their respective curtain raiser. While the former kicked off the tourney on a high by defeating Ireland by eight wickets, Pakistan were on the receiving end of an upset as the USA stunned them in a Super Over cliffhanger. As both teams geared up for the mega-clash amidst a rain delay, Rohit Sharma’s antiques during the toss made the headlines.

As Ravi Shastri commanded the proceedings for a delayed toss in the Nassau County International Cricket Stadium, with Rohit Sharma, Babar Azam, and match referee David Boon at the centre, the Indian captain was set to spin the coin. However, for a moment, Rohit was unaware of where the coin was as Babar and Shastri looked startled. The guessing game halted in no time when the 37-year-old put his hands in his pocket to find the coin and help the toss ceremony resume.
