India offered Zimbabwe no respite in the penultimate T20I at Harare to ruthlessly chase down a subpar target of 153 in just 15.2 overs for their third straight win. Yashaswi Jaiswal was the standout performer, his 93* in an unbeaten opening stand handing India an unassailable 3-1 series lead.

Shubman Gill's lucky streak with the toss continued on Saturday as he maintained his 100% record in the series and asked the hosts to bat first. Zimbabwean openers Wessly Madhevere and Tadiwanashe Marumani got off to a decent start, managing the occasional boundary in the powerplay and the odd-dropped catch ensured they scraped through the first six overs without losing a wicket, tallying 44 runs in the process. The partnership grew to 58 a couple of overs later, prompting Gill to bring in part-timers Shivam Dube and Abhishek Dube to the fore. The duo instantly delivered, sending both openers packing in successive overs to bring Sikandar Raza to the crease. The Zimbabwean captain appeared in prime touch as he smoked three maximums and two boundaries in his rapid knock of 46. However, wickets kept tumbling at the other end and once Raza departed in the penultimate over, India sailed through to the end and restricted the hosts to 152/7.

The chase was comprehensively the Yashasvi Jaiswal show as he put up an exhibition of boundary-hitting. The opener pounced upon a flurry of half-volleys and half-trackers early on to race to a 29-ball half-century in the seventh over with 10 fours to his name. Gill chipped with a few hits to the fence as well and the Indian score read a daunting 106/0 by the end of the 10th over. With the result already a foregone conclusion, the duo continued to press on the accelerator and Jaiswal finished off proceedings with a boundary in the 16th over to seal a 10-wicket victory.
