As a cricketer in modern days, it is hard to be off camera even for a minute moment. As Shamar Joseph got injured in the second session on the second Day of the Lord’s Test between England and West Indies, Jason Holder tried to shoo away the spider cam which tried to sneak into the injured bowler.

Winning the toss and electing to field first did work well for the home side as Gus Atkinson’s seven-fer helped them to bundle West Indies for 121 in the first innings. In reply, most English batters fared well with four of their top five batters knitting a half-century. Although Gudakesh Motie pegged back at them at the cusp of the morning session, the duo of Jamie Smith and Chris Woakes were hesitant to throw away wickets after Lunch. This compelled the West Indies captain to summon Shamar Joseph with the old ball but as luck turned out, the pacer caught up with a hamstring injury halfway through the session.

Following four dot balls to kick off the 76th over, Shamar was seen holding his left hamstring in agony while returning for his runup. As the pain intensified, the physio scampered into the field to assess the condition. During this event, the spider cam was right above the group that surrounded Shamar and Holder seemed disturbed by its intervention. The all-rounder tried to shoo the camera away and then tried to prank it by using his cap to censor the injured bowler, prompting the Twitterverse abuzz.
