PAK vs BAN | Twitter reacts to Shakeel and Rizwan centuries keep visitors at bay on Day 2
Pakistan batters Saud Shakeel and Mohammad Rizwan stood out on the second day of the Rawalpindi Test against Bangladesh. A massive 240-run fourth wicket stand helped them propel to 448/6 before Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam withstood the Pakistani bowlers without any hiccups in 12 overs.
Rizwan accelerated at the start of the second session with a six and a four taking him to his third ton in Test cricket, followed by Shakeel getting to his third century in Test career as well. The pair continued to pepper the opposition bowlers, taking them to a 240-run stand before Mehidy Hasan Miraz stumped Shakeel for 141 just around the Tea break.Continuing the third session from 375/5, Salman Ali Agha failed to flourish with the bat before Shaheen joined hands with Rizwan. While the former intended to whack lusty blows, the latter played his natural game to jolt a 50-plus run stand. With the wicketkeeper-batter struggling with cramps, the Pakistan skipper declared the innings with the score reflecting 448/6.Arriving to bat, the Bangladesh openers managed to be calm against the ball which didn’t do much. While there was puff of dust spotted in the pitch, the non-introduction of spinners didn’t trouble Zakir Hasan and Shadman Islam who steered them to 27/0 at Stumps Day 2.

No rubbish talk on tv, no sympathy drama, no pr!! Just being a team man and working hard 👏🔥
What a day for him!
With his elite fitness, Rizwan should prioritize Test, ODI formats and leave the T20i format, it will be good for Pakistan as well. |

:o
Unreal disrespect towards Pakistan’s best limited overs captain just because he is from Karachi. 😢😢

Power hitting!
Hitting six to a pace bowler by using your reet isn't an easy task as Rizwan made it.
