Northern Superchargers defeated the London Spirits by 21 runs as per DLS method with rain halting the play during the second innings. Reece Topley’s lethal opening spell was backed by Adil Rashid’s three-fer before the top-order did enough for a win and bolster their Eliminator chances.

‌Electing to field after a toss delay under overhead conditions, the Northern Superchargers reaped rewards as the London Spirits lost three wickets inside the 35-run powerplay with Reece Topley bucketing a couple of them. Subsequently, the introduction of Adil Rashid further dented the opposition batting order with Matt Critchley, Shimron Hetmyer, and Andre Russell failing to make a mark. With the score reading 62/6 on the 63rd ball, Ravi Bopara and Liam Dawson rebuilt the innings with a 49-run stand with the latter smacking a few lusty blows to propel the Spirits to 111 before the two particular wickets in the last couple of balls.

Unlike their counterparts, the Superchargers got off to a stable start with Graham Clarke and Matthew Short taking control. While the former wore the anchorer’s hat, the latter smacked a couple of fours and sixes before incurring a top edge to Matt Critchley immediately after the 47-run powerplay. With Ollie Robinson joining Short for the second-wicket, the duo nicely ticked the scoreboard before rain halted play in Leeds with the score reading 64/1 on 44 balls. The showers picked up eventually, and the game was abandoned with the Superchargers earning a 21-run win by the DLS method.
