Southern Brave beat Trent Rockets by two wickets at Southampton. Batting first, the Rockets had a great start but their middle order faltered which restricted them to 126/8 whereas the Southern Braves rode on the back of Kieron Pollard’s brilliant cameo towards the end leading to their victory.

Trent skipper Lewis Gregory won the toss and opted to bat, a decision that initially paid off. Openers Tom Banton and Adam Lyth got off to a brisk start, putting up 43/0 in the first five sets. However, Danny Briggs broke their partnership by dismissing Banton in the ninth set and Lyth followed soon after falling to Akeal Hosein in the 12th set. With Alex Hales and Joe Root at the crease, the Rockets were 71/2 at the halfway mark. Briggs made another crucial breakthrough by removing Hales in the 17th set, bringing Rovman Powell to the middle. Powell's attempt to stabilize the innings fell short, as he was dismissed in the 22nd. Gregory's wicket in the 26th further unsettled the Trent middle order, which collapsed to 116/6 by the 18th delivery. Despite their efforts, the Rockets could only manage 126/8 from their 100 deliveries.

Southern Brave's response began strongly with openers James Vince and Alex Davies reaching 39/0 in five sets. Sam Cook broke the partnership by dismissing Davies in the 11th set. The situation became tense for the Braves when John Turner took quick wickets, dismissing Leus du Plooy and Laurie Evans in rapid succession, leaving the Brave at 63/4. Turner then removed Vince, who fell short of a fourth consecutive half-century. With the Braves needing 53 runs from 25 balls, Akeal Hosein and Kieron Pollard were at the crease. After Hosein’s dismissal in the 20th set, the game hinged on Pollard. The packed Southampton crowd witnessed an extraordinary display of power-hitting as Pollard blasted five consecutive sixes off Rashid Khan’s 17th set. His stunning performance propelled the Braves to a dramatic victory by two wickets. With this win, Southern Brave climbed back to the top of the points table and secured their place in the playoffs.
