‌The bottom-of-the-table clash began on a sunny evening at Lord’s as Manchester Originals faced London Spirits. The hosts won the toss and chose to bowl with Manchester’s opening stand once again struggling. The visitors were jolted early when Richard Gleeson claimed Matthew Hurst's wicket on the seventh delivery. However, the Originals found some stability as Phil Salt and Max Holden built a 40-run partnership taking the score to 43/1 by the eighth set. The duo continued their strong form propelling Manchester to 89/1 in the 14th set with Salt reaching a 35-ball fifty. However, the 94-run partnership was broken when Holden was run out in the 73rd delivery. Salt then departed after scoring 58 off 41 balls on the 81st delivery by Olly Stone, bringing Jamie Overton to the crease. The English pacer struck again in the same set, dismissing Overton and rattling Manchester’s middle order. The Originals' woes deepened when Sikandar Raza departed for a duck, leaving the score at 110/5 in 86 deliveries. A late 23-run stand by Wayne Madsen and Paul Walter helped the Originals reach 135/5 in their 100 deliveries.

In response, the hosts got off to a disastrous start as they lost Michael Kyle-Pepper, Ollie Pope, and Dan Lawrence within the first 15 deliveries. With the score at 13/3 after 20 deliveries, the Spirits hoped to recover with Shimron Hetmyer and Keaton Jennings at the crease. The duo regained momentum and pushed the score to 48/3 after 40 deliveries. By the halfway mark, the Spirits reached 61/3 with the Shimron-Jennings partnership building a 50-run stand. With 54 runs needed off 35 deliveries, the game was set for a thrilling finish. The equation was reduced to 38 runs off 23 deliveries as the London bowlers desperately sought to break the partnership. The South Africa-born continued his strong performance, scoring a 42-ball fifty that gradually edged London closer to victory. However, the 96-run stand was finally broken when Scott Currie dismissed Hetmyer, who departed after scoring 44 off 35 deliveries. With Andre Russell and Jennings at the crease, all hopes rested on them as London required 26 runs off 10 balls. But Russell's dismissal on 93 put them under pressure, leaving the hosts needing 24 off the final six deliveries. Ultimately, the Manchester pacers had the last laugh, winning the contest by 12 runs and securing their first victory of the season.
