Birmingham Phoenix beat Northern Superchargers by ten wickets at Edgbaston. The hosts had a poor time with the bat as none of their batters could cross the 20-run mark, getting bundled for just 83 runs with the Phoenix opening pair of Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali sealing their victory in 39 deliveries.

‌Occupying the third position and eager to secure the crucial two points, Northern Superchargers captain Harry Brook decided to bat first after winning the toss. However, this strategy backfired when they lost Matt Short in the second set. The situation worsened as Nicholas Pooran and Ben Stokes were dismissed in quick succession, leaving the score at 19/3 after 21 balls. Adam Hose and Brook managed to stabilize the innings until the 47th delivery, but the latter's stay ended with a Chris Wood’s length ball. With Hose and Ollie Robinson at the crease, the Superchargers reached 40/4 in 60 balls. Hose's dismissal came next, thanks to a brilliant run-out by Ben Duckett. The Superchargers' batting lineup continued to crumble as Robinson was cheaply taken by Milne on the 69th delivery, reducing the score to 53/6. Without any significant partnerships and frequent loss of wickets, the home side were bowled out for a mere 83 runs in 96 balls.

In response, the Phoenix openers Ben Duckett and Moeen Ali were off to a rollicking start with the duo charging to 27/0 in 15 deliveries. The southpaw tag team were in no mood to waste time as they began a batting carnage and cruised to 37/0 in 20 deliveries. The rampage continued as Ali smacked two biggies and a four curtailing down the equation to 27 runs in 75 deliveries. The match was almost sealed for Birmingham as they required 18 runs off 70 deliveries left. Ultimately, the Phoenix won the contest by ten wickets and climbed to third spot on the point table with a boost in their net run rate.
