Sixes are not just big hits; they are the culmination of skill, timing, and courage. Such was the case in the game between Delhi Capitals and Gujarat Titans where Delhi skipper Rishabh Pant showcased his vintage batting by effortlessly hitting a six off Mohit Sharma's slower delivery.

‌Gujarat Titans had to toil hard on the field after their skipper Shubman Gill opted to bowl first. In the powerplay, the home side successfully dismissed three of Delhi's top-order batsmen as Jake Fraser McGurk, Prithvi Shaw, and Shai Hope failed to fire. However, the tide turned when Rishabh Pant and Axar Patel forged a formidable 113-run partnership, guiding their side to 127/3 in 15 overs. The momentum soared for the home team as Pant showcased his traditional batting skills by smashing two sixes off Mohit Sharma's over, including one off Sharma’s trademark slower ball.

On the final delivery of the 16th over, Mohit delivered a full-length ball outside off. Despite being renowned for his deceptive slower ball, the 35-year-old Indian bowler chose the same tactic against the Delhi skipper. Yet, Pant had other ideas as he carefully assessed the delivery and crouched slightly. When the ball landed in the slot, the southpaw unleashed a powerful stroke over long-off sailing it for a maximum. Pant went on to smash his compatriot for 31 runs in the final over as well, including four maximums, to end up unbeaten on 88 off 43 deliveries while Mohit conceded a record-breaking 73 in his four overs.

Twitter erupted with amazement witnessing Pant's remarkable six sparking discussions about his resurgence in form.
