Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by three wickets in a nail-biting encounter in Jaipur. Chasing 197 runs, the home team started slowly but accelerated their pace in the slog overs culminating to set up a thriller with two runs needed off the last and Rashid Khan finishing the game with a four.

Following a rain delay at Jaipur Gujarat skipper Shubman Gill won the toss and opted to field first. The decision immediately paid off as the visitors managed to send Rajasthan opener Yashasvi Jaiswal back to the pavilion in the fifth over. The woes continued for Rajasthan as Buttler departed in the sixth over. Despite the setbacks, Sanju Samson and Riyan Parag stabilized the innings guiding the home side to 43/2 by the end of the powerplay. The duo showcased exceptional batting skills taking their side to 73/2 after 10 overs. Parag displayed fine form reaching his half-century off just 34 deliveries and forming a formidable partnership of 92 runs with the Rajasthan skipper. By the 15th over, the scorecard reflected 134/2 with Samson joining the fifty club notching his third half-century of the season in 30 deliveries. With the duo steering Rajasthan towards a substantial total, Mohit Sharma managed to dismiss Parag in the 19th over. However, Shimron Hetmyer and Samson unleashed a flurry of boundaries in the final over propelling the pink-clad side to an impressive total of 196/3 in their allotted 20 overs.

With Wriddhiman Saha injured, the Gujarat Titans opened their batting with Shubman Gill and B Sai Sudharsan. The duo looked great using their left-hand and right-hand combo taking their side to 44/0 at the end of the powerplay. Meanwhile, Rajasthan’s  Kuldeep Sen dismissed Sudharshan in the ninth over. With Matthew Wade and Gill on the crease, the visitors managed to reach 76/1 in 10 overs. The 27-year-old Tamil Nadu bowler was at his best as he changed the course of taking two wickets from Wade and Abhinav Manohar in the 11th over. Gill was looking good, anchoring the Gujarat batting and scored a fifty off 35 deliveries. The Gujarat skipper and Vijay Shankar managed to build a stable 32-run stand taking their side to 102/3 in 13 overs. However, Yuzvendra Chahal managed to dismiss Shankar in the 14th over with Gujarat looking into a bit of trouble. As Gill was looking good with a strike rate of 163.64, Chahal stuck again in the 16th over with the scorecard at 133/5 in 15.2. With Gujarat’s impact sub-Shahrukh Khan and Rahul Tewatia, the visitors slowly paved their way towards victory reaching 155/7 in 17 overs. With 42 runs needed off the last three overs, Avesh Khan managed to dismiss Shahrukh, adding more worry to Gujarat's batting. A packed Sawai Mansingh waited for another thriller as Gujarat needed 35 runs off 12 deliveries. Rahul Tewatia and Rashid Khan managed to score 20 runs in the 19th over with 15 runs needed off the last over. The Afghan spinner managed to smack the first ball of the first ball and took two runs off the next ball. There was no stoppage to Rashid as he again hit a boundary in the third ball and took a single to give the strike to Tewatia with four runs required off the last two deliveries. As the stage was set for another thriller, Tewatia was subjected to a run out with two runs needed off the last ball. Meanwhile, Rashid Khan looked relentless and hit a boundary off the last ball as Gujarat Titans beat Rajasthan Royals by three wickets.
