India’s DRS decisions have mostly been on point lately but the confidence with which Mayank Agarwal went for one today beggar belief. Although he didn’t have a bat on the ball, he was really surprised at the umpire’s decision and didn’t waste time to go upstairs which eventually helped him stay.

It was that kind of a day for Mayank Agarwal as whatever he wanted to do was coming to fruition - every shot found the gaps, the flicks were a sight to sore eyes, and the one six he hit today was a batsman’s delight. It was only natural that nothing - even if Marais Erasmus’ OUT signal could bring an end to what has been a flawless innings so far.On the fourth ball of the 47th over, Mehidy Hasan bowled a quicker off-break to Agarwal and the latter was quick to attempt a sweep. However, he was done by the pace of the delivery and the ball went on to hit his pads when he was on a squatting position. Bangladesh players were quick to appeal and the impact was so deceptive that the umpire raised his finger to signal him OUT. It came as a huge surprise for the Bangalore boy as the frustration written all over the face. Even before the DRS clock was set in motion, an angry Agarwal instantly signalled for a review which cleared everything. As third umpire Nitin Menon found out, there was nothing on the UltraEdge but it was missing the leg stump by a fair margin. It would have been bouncing over the stumps as well - even if it wasn't going down.

Mass review by Agarwal!
