IPL 2019 | Legends and pundits react to RCB v RR match starting in April and ending in May without a result
It was a frustrating day for Royal Challengers Bangalore as they crashed out of the tournament after the match against Rajasthan Royals was abandoned due to rain. Even though RCB started off well, they could only score 61 in five overs and RR couldn't complete the chase thanks to the rain Gods.
Tough luck!
Shreyas Gopal's hat-trick in the game.

-> First ever recorded T20 hat-trick that resulted in a washout
-> First ever recorded T20 hat-trick in an inning of 6 or fewer overs
Bizarre
RCB spent INR 920 lacs on Shimron Hetmyer (420 lacs) & Shivam Dubey (500 laks) but have only given them four matches each. To spend such a huge amount of money on two players and give them such little game time in a format as volatile as T20 is strange.

In the end, it didn't matter! :(
Ah ah lovely from Shreyas Gopal. Hattrick. over the moon after the damaging first over.

That sounds interesting! O1!
should come back for a super over in the morning

He didn't see the NR coming!
RCB hit massive trough after blazing start. Can’t see how they can win this match unless RR lose their nerve or just get too excitable and error-prone

Damn, what a unique achievement! :P
Match started in April. Finished in May. Without producing a result. This has to be some kind of a record 🙈🤣🏏

Food for thought!
Rain curtailed game....if so much. Let’s have a re-toss or at the very least...allow the teams to change their XI. What’s say??
— Aakash Chopra (@cricketaakash)
When everyone was expecting a win for RR...
At the end of all that, it's abandoned. Well, well...
