Afghanistan had a brilliant start to their chase with Ikram Ali Khil and Rahmat Shah made the chase look very easy but after they perished the Afghanistan batsmen couldn't continue to what those two started. Twitterati were surprised after finding out Ikram had been down the order all this while.
Brief scores: West Indies 311/6 in 50 overs (Shai Hope 77, Evin Lewis 58, Nicholas Pooran 58; Dawlat Zadran 2/73, Rashid Khan 1/52) beat Afghanistan 288/10 in 50 overs ( Ikram Ali Khil 86, Rahmat Shah 62; Carlos Brathwaite 4/63, Kemar Roach 3/37 ) by 23 runs
Indeed the future looks bright for Afghanistan!Β
Will they be build a batting unit around Rahmat shah, Ikram Ali Khil and Hashmatulla shahidi to support their bowling though? Afghanistan's future in cricket may depend on that.
