Twitter reacts to the third umpire's disastrous decision of giving Daryl Mitchell out even after seeing the hotspot mark
All hell broke loose when Daryl Mitchell was given out by the third umpire Shaun Haig even after seeing that there was a hotspot mark on the bat while reviewing the wicket. The Twitterati were baffled by what was just happened and started criticizing the third umpire for the horrible decision.
That's a horrendous decision!
A clear mark on hotspot apparently wasn't enough for third umpire to say there was an edge after relying on Snicko which showed flatline as the ball passed the bat but a spike just afterwards

Even the Indian fans were shocked by the decision!
Drama at Eden Park, Auckland! A lot of questions will be asked of the third umpire Shaun Haig, Hotspot and DRS.
— Ameya Tilak (@ameyatilak)
Daryl Mitchell must be gutted and confused at the same time.
All these technologies and still can't figure out a clear inside edge.
— Ankit (@ankitchandram)
What did I just see with the Umpire DRS ? What’s the use of advanced technology if it can’t suffice to fair play of the so called gentleman’s game ?
— Rajdeep Mukherjee (@ItsmeRajDeep93)
Looks like the Indians fans aren't able to enjoy this victory because of that decision!
Chaos at ! Dear A clear inside edge picked up by Hotspot on the review by , but 3rd umpire ignores it & declares him OUT, based on ball-tracking. lose their review. Indian Cricket Fans want a fair match. Plz. do justice.
