Options : Rohit Sharma, Gautam Gambhir
Sharma and Gambhir are both neck and neck with their batting averages: 33.4 for Sharma and 30.5 for Gambhir. Mumbai are, however, somewhat favourite opponents for Gambhir. He has hit 3 fifties in his last 3 matches against them and is in good nick as well playing a captainās innings against Gujarat, smashing 76* while Sharma demonstrated how not to bat, scoring exactly 3 before being bedazzled by Tahirās tricks. Gambhir narrowly edges it, though, with Rohit Sharma inspiring enough believers, maybe somewhat optimistically.

How much will Mumbai score in the powerplay?
Options : Less than 35, 35-55, more than 55
Mumbai average 42 runs in powerplay overs in their last 5 matches. However, against Pune, due to the complete ineffectiveness served up by the trio of Dinda, Chahar, & Stokes, Mumbai plundered 61 in the first 6 overs, for the loss of a single wicket taken by the crafty South African, Tahir. The KKR bowling attack seems somewhat more capable with Boult, Narine, Chawla & Woakes, but they, too went for 52 against the Lions. Ā The fans donāt believe this will be a high-scoring start for Mumbai, with a massive 80% believing they will be restricted to less than 55.

Mumbai hold a 12-5 advantage in the 17 games these two have played against each other. Recent results also favour Mumbai. The last 3 times these sides met all resulted in Mumbai victories. Dhoni & Smith eviscerated Mumbai in their opener, while Gambhir & Lynn mesmerized Gujarat in theirs. Ā Neither side seemed to have blessed bowling attacks, but the fans seem to believe the Kolkata side will edge it, albeit narrowly.
