IPL auction: Yuvraj, Pietersen list highest base price
Yuvraj Singh, Kevin Pietersen and Ishant Sharma are among the 12 players who have listed their base price at Rs. 2 Crore for the Indian Premier League (IPL) auction, which is scheduled to be held on February 6 in Bangalore.
Yuvraj Singh, who has represented four different ISL teams so far, received Rs 16 crores from Delhi Daredevils in the auction last season to become the highest paid player in the tournament's history. The World Cup winner, who has scored 2066 in the seven seasons of IPL so far, was recalled into the Indian t20 squad for the tour to Australia.
According to a report in , Ishant Sharma, Ashish Nehra, Dinesh Karthik, Stuart Binny, Sanju Samson and Dhawal Kulkarni are the other Indians, who have listed their base price as Rs. 2 Crore. 714 players currently occupy the list for the auction, but it will be trimmed down on January 25 to prepare the final list for the auction.

The two new teams – Rising Pune Super Giants and Rajkot IPL team – have already picked 10 players from the IPL draft, which was held on December 15. Rising Pune Super Giants have signed MS Dhoni, Ashwin, Steve Smith, Faf du Plessis and Ajinkya Rahane in the team, while Rajkot picked Raina, Jadeja, Dwayne Bravo, Brendon McCullum and James Faulkner.
Along with the new entrants Pune and Rajkot, Delhi Daredevils are also expected to bid fiercely in the auction after releasing a total of 13 players.
