South Asian Games: India continues domination to cross 100-medal mark

India continued their domination for the fourth successive day at the 12th South Asian Games in Guwahati and Shillong as the hosts added 25 gold, 16 silver and 4 bronze to take their overall medal tally to 124. Track-and-field, swimming and archery were the main contributors to India’s medal tally on day 4.

World No. 9 archer Deepika Kumari, who received the Padma Shri recently, led the Indian charge with 3 Golds - in the Individual women's recurve, the Women's team event and the Mixed Recurve event.

Track & field events proved to be the major contributor on the day with 14 medals, but it was aquatics that pushed India's gold rush further ahead with 7 yellow metals.
